Climate change is likely the largest single challenge facing modern society. This is related to the fact that our economy is currently dependent on burning fossil fuels for the production of energy, which results in the release of carbon dioxide. Thus the reduction of these emissions and creating new solutions to reduce dependence on fossil fuels are a primary part of the numerous measures that will lead to a transition towards more sustainable development.
Climate change has also led to the creation of a series of laws and measures that represent a new challenge for business in Bulgaria.
We advise companies on their obligations related to trading emissions certificates and creating projects aimed at climate protection.  Climate Strategy
Climate strategies expand organizations’ scope of action and provide a means for development. In order to formulate a successful climate strategy, analyzing the market and current political environment is not enough. It is crucial to also take into account the potential for future climate protection or energy related legislation that could affect operations or customer expectations.
Green House Gas Inventory
Carbon trading involves the resolution of many issues. Greenhouse gases (GHG) are the result of a very complex network of processes, ranging from the use of products such as indirect energy sources to transport. These are just a few of the aspects that lead to increased emissions.
Any meaningful strategy to reduce greenhouse gas emissions invariably begins with a survey of the current level of emissions or the so-called GHG inventory. Greenhouse gas emissions are the result of very complex web of processes, which extend from the combustion of fuels used for electricity to transport and the life cycle of the products and supplies used by organizations. All of these aspects must be integrated in the calculation process of taking an inventory.
For more than five years denkstatt has been working on the basis of the reporting requirements of the Secretariat of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (national) and the Protocol on Greenhouse Emissions WBCSD / WRI, ISO 14064 (corporate level).
